Are you looking for ideas for your registry or looking for gift ideas for you pregnant friends? I wanted to share with you some of my favorite gifts from my most recent baby shower!
Two of these things were actually on my registry and two I actually picked out. (Thanks mom and Nana! 😉 )
If you want to watch my YouTube video – CLICK HERE!
1 – Cutie Pie Socks – These are soooo cute! I had never even heard of this company before. I tried googling the brand to see if I could find them for y’all. There are some options on Amazon but that is really all I found!
I think these are the perfect gift idea for little baby boys! Also they are very stretchy! The doc has told me it looks like Milo, my son, is going to have a big foot. So fingers crossed these fit. 😉
2 – Precious Moments Jesus Loves Me Musical Water Globe. I believe this was purchased from Lifeway Christian Bookstore. This was such a thoughtful gift! Hopefully it helps soothe Milo to sleep.
3 – Old Navy Clothes! I love Old Navy! They are just starting to get some of their summer baby outfits out! Here are some of my favorite things, purchased by Milo’s future grandma and great grandma. 😉
4- Fox Hooded Towel – this was on my registry. It can be found at Target.
5- Milk Barn Organics burp cloths – I love to try to keep things as natural as possible, and the hedgehogs just went with my woodland animal theme.
6- Monogrammed Onesie – A onesie with his name on it is absolutely adorable. I imagine lots of Instagrams to come soon with this outfit! One of my favorite places to shop for this type of gift is Etsy, the app.
7 – Get BIGGER sizes!! A friend asked my mom if it was okay to buy 18-24 months outfits. OF COURSE! Milo is going to grow like a little weed and having some outfits in a few sizes up is a great idea to help the momma save money in the future!
8- Sports Team Logos – My family bleeds blue for the University of Kentucky. Old Navy was having some of their sports team shirts on clearance. Score! 😉
9- Onesies from Target – Woodland Animals – this was on my registry. I just thought it was too cute not to share! All of these onesie colors will be adorable when it’s fall!
So I hope these 9 favorites can help inspire you to think outside the box and put some thought into your gift. I am so thankful for all my friends and family who took time to come, spend time, and share their love with me.
I hope to make another video or blog post from my next shower! Follow me on Instagram or subscribe to my Youtube for updates!
I can not believe I am already 28 weeks! I wanted to share some of my favorite maternity outfits for spring and must haves! My must haves include: outfits, tennis shoes, snacks, and more!
1 – This is a maxi dress I bought from Target last year. It is soooo comfy! (Cute and comfy are my rules 😉 ) I love that this is a neutral color and I can pair it with almost any cardigan!
2 – Blue for a boy! I plan to wear this to my upcoming baby shower! I ordered this skirt off of amazon. Click here to see! The skirt is very comfy… but it is pretty thin. I would make sure to wear appropriate things underneath 😉 or have a shirt that covers your bottom! My top is a maternity top from Target and my jacket is from American Eagle. (Also super comfy!)
3 – These are the most comfy maternity jeans I tried on. They are from Motherhood Maternity. They are around $30 bucks! This top was a gift from my mother-in-law also from Motherhood Maternity. These jeans are comfy but I still prefer not to have to wear anything on my little bump. Thank the Lord spring is here! 😉 . No more pants for me!
4 – These pants are not maternity, and they are still fitting! I’m not sure how much longer they will fit but fingers crossed. 😉 . They are from the brand Carrie Underwood at Dick’s Sporting Goods. I have had these pants for about two years. They have a very wide belly band around the top of the pants that have worked perfectly for my growing bump! My shirt is from Walmart and is also not maternity. This is my perfect run errands or work around the house outfit!
4.5 – These shoes are adorable! They are from Target. I bought them this past weekend. My husband actually found them and picked them out for me. I am such a lucky gal… training him right. 😉 . These are perfect for maternity because you don’t have to tie them and they are … guess… comfy! If you see them at Target grab them now!! They were almost all gone when I got mine.
5 – Leggings are a must with pregnancy! These have a warm lining in them which is nice for those chilly spring days. I got these from Motherhood Maternity! I would recommend buying a few pairs if you wear leggings a lot. They do start to wear out after a few washes. (That annoying cotton like peach fuzz all over them.) . My top is not a maternity top, but it is from the boutique called Dry Goods. I purchased this shirt last year.
My 4 Other Must Haves!
1 – Baby Be Mine 2 in 1 Maternity Night Gown. Click Here!
This is all I have been wearing to sleep in! My husband even says he thinks it looks cute! I plan to order a new one to add to my collection. Some people have even worn these out as dresses! Oh, and the patterns, love!
2 – Body pillow
I had heard that you “have to have” a pregnancy pillow. I didn’t believe them till my second trimester. I didn’t really want to pay out all that money for a pillow. So I just used a body pillow that I had at home and it has been working great!
3- Lotion, Lotion, Lotion
I’m not sure if it is the pregnancy or the horribly cold winter but my poor skin had to suffer. I recently started reusing the Peter Thomas Roth Hydrating Gel on my face! It has saved my skin! Within two uses my dry patches got better! Click here to check it out on Amazon!
My skin on the rest of my body wasn’t much better. My doctor before I was pregnant recommended Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for the harsh winters. It worked great with dry patches on my arms. I even used it while pregnant on my belly. I recently switched to Burts Bees Mama Bee lotion for my growing bump. So far so good with no stretch marks. I believe that has more to do with your genetic genes than your lotions. 😉
4 – Snacks!
I am a gluten free vegetarian with a bit of a sweet tooth. I have enjoyed Crispy Chocolate Rice Bars from Envirokidz. These are sold at Kroger and Meijer. These have been perfect to throw in my purse when I need a snack while running errands. Enjoy Life Protein Bites by Enjoy Life – also very yummy! I eat a few of these each morning before my smoothie. My husband loves them as well. You can buy these at Meijer. Second Nature Wholesome Medley has been a favorite afternoon snack. You can purchase these from Meijer or Kroger. It’s a mixture of nuts, raisins, cranberries, and chocolate. 😉
These are the things I have been using on a daily basis for the past 27 weeks. If you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments below! Follow me on instagram – gracefullyfashionable – to see more of my favorites! Happy Friday!
I’m pregnant!! Ahhh!! It’s still so hard to believe at times.
Becoming pregnant is not like the movies. It is much harder than it may seem. My husband and I tried for 9 months! Finally the Lord blessed us. I could make a whole other blog post about those emotional 9 months. I can’t imagine how hard it is for women who have a harder time than I did. If you are struggling right now becoming pregnant, my heart just pours out to you.
It’s all about the health of the mother and God’s sweet timing.

I wanted to create a real timeline so you could understand my journey.
So let’s travel back in time!
January 2018- I was two weeks late… but not pregnant. That left me heartbroken.
February 2018 – Mother Nature come back regularly.
March 2018 – Hello again from Mother Nature.
April 2018 – Mother Nature – ugh
May 2018 – This period is really getting old.
June 2018 – Well, least I can enjoy my summer……
July 2018 – Is there something wrong with me?
August 2018 – I can’t take this anymore Lord, please answer my prayers.
September 2018 – During the weeks of church evangelism…. We conceived. Ironic timing Lord. 😉
October 14, 2018 – I took a test early Sunday morning and we received the results right away… We were pregnant!
October 20, 2018 – Told my husband’s parents we were pregnant by having a Bible verse written on a pumpkin. Proverbs 17:6.
October 27, 2018 – Told my parents by printing off a June 2019 calendar and marking June 21st.
Pregnancy week 6 – Hello morning sickness. Nausea but not to the point of throwing up. I also dealt with some headaches. No food sounded good at all.
Pregnancy week 7 – Morning sickness lasting till about 2pm everyday.
Pregnancy week 8 – Naps please!
Pregnancy week 9 – First Ultrasound!! Heart beat 173!
Pregnancy week 10 – Made baby Facebook official.
Pregnancy week 11- Starting to get a bump!
Pregnancy week 12 – The beginning of never ended back pain. I was dealing with some sinus issues. I choose to try some Claritin and it did help some. Doctors appointment – healthy, heart beat 160!
Pregnancy week 13- Size of a plum!
Pregnancy week 14 – Mostly dealing with back pain. Morning sickness started to go away, praise the Lord!
Pregnancy week 15 -Starting to feel some “flutters” in my belly. 😉
Pregnancy week 16 – I dealt with horrible neck and shoulder pain. I got my first prenatal massage! I highly recommend! It took my husband giving me a few more massages before my neck got better. Doctors appointment- very active baby! Heart rate – 146-150. He kept moving around so it was hard to find the heart rate. I had eaten Dove chocolate before the appointment. 😉
Pregnancy week 17 – Started to get some sharp pains in my lower abdomen. Most likely round ligament pains. They only lasted for a few short seconds at a time.
Pregnancy week 18 – I felt more movements. I was waking up randomly at 1 and 3 am – was this baby waking me?
Pregnancy week 19 – Started using a body pillow! It helps ease some of the back pain. I was feeling more kicks, but my husband could still not feel them.
Pregnancy week 20 – It’s a boy!! He seems to have long legs and his feet are already 2 inches! Possibly changing my due date by two weeks if he continues to grow at this rate. He was in the 94% range. (Average is 50%). He currently weights 1 pound. His heart rate was 136.
Once the shock of having a boy has set in, I am so excited and can not wait for June 21st to get here. My sweet boys name will be Milo James.
I hope my timeline can be encouraging for those trying, and helpful to those currently in this journey.
I can not wait to see what the next 20 weeks holds for me and baby Milo. Although, if the back pain could stop…. That would be great. 😉
I am feeling more and more confident with my smile.
So what have I learned from my halfway through experience:
Personally for me, the trays don’t hurt my teeth. My teeth sometimes feel pressure but really no pain.
I have a really busy morning. I drink a smoothie off-and- on most of the morning.Since doing that I am not able to wear my trays.I also slack off some in the afternoons ( I know!I’m slightly ashamed!). My teeth seem to still be moving correctly!I do wear them every night.
Be careful using Crest toothpaste.I started to have brown spots form on a few of my teeth. They were small, but noticeable to me.I asked the orthodontist about it, because I was wondering if it was due to Invisalign. She said some Crest toothpaste irritates people’s teeth. As soon as I switched to Colgate – Gone!No more spots!
TIP -Write the date that you are suppose to switch your trays on each packet they give you.
TIP – Make reminders on your iPhone calendar when you are suppose to switch out your trays! It makes it so much easier to remember.
I hope me sharing my experience helps y’all who are considering Invisalign.I am very pleased and impressed with the results. And it’s only taken about 6 months.

I wanted to share with y’all about my new backpack purse I got from Target. This was actually the last one they had of this purse at my Target…. So I took it as a sign that it was destined for me. 😉
I had been in search for a backpack purse. My sister had been carrying one for months and told me that I needed to get one.
-The material is “faux-leather”.When I put this backpack on, if I don’t move my hair out of the way, it gets caught in my hair. What’s worse is that due to this material, it sticks to my hair. This is not fun at all when it feels like it is pulling my hair.
-Adjusting the straps is a pain.My husband had to help me.
-Floppy.I actually don’t care for bags that don’t hold its structure when you sit it down. This one as soon as you sit it down, it flops over.Maybe if I carried more stuff it would do better.
Overall, I was pretty happy with my purchase.I’ve gotten a few compliments on the bag as well.It is a great purchase for its price.
I’m always searching for the next, great affordable bag, so leave your suggestions down in the comments!
