Postpartum Fashion Haul! Boutiques & Walmart!

Happy Whatever Day It Is! One thing I have been learning from motherhood is whether it is waking up on time or making it to church on time – neither of them happen on time. šŸ˜‰

I had originally planned for the post to go up two weeks ago, and then this past Friday. But it didnā€™t happenā€¦ and thatā€™s okay. The world didnā€™t end. šŸ˜‰ I have to remind myself of that daily.

So I wanted to share with yā€™all some of the clothing items I had gotten during my postpartum shopping spree.

Which I highly recommend!

If you are reading this and you are pregnantā€¦ start sitting back twenty dollars a paycheck. Then have a bit of a splurge whenever you feel like it after you have your baby.

It actually was pretty fun for me. I even did it all while sitting on the couch. Thank the Lord for the internet. šŸ˜‰

It was fun shopping again and getting new clothes made me feel better and more like my old self.

So here are some of my fashion finds!

1- Kimono – I originally fell in love with this outfit on the boutiques Instagram page. So I decided to recreate it myself. I purchased this kimono from a boutique. you can follow on Facebook – Sweet Mā€™s. The olive green shirt I got from Old Navy. I think this outfit is perfect for the end of summer and going into fall. It also is perfect for the postpartum tummy worries and can provide some cover while breastfeeding! This kimono is in the $40-50 dollar range.

2- Check out the online Magnolia Boutique based out of Indiana. This boutique always has tons of cute options at decent prices. I picked out this striped summer dress. I have been loving dresses that hit just below the knees. This dress is very comfortable. I loved the design. It was a new print that i had never tried before.Ā  new life- New print – New Dress – New Momma. šŸ˜‰ This dress is $44.Ā  CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT!

3- This dress is also from the Magnolia Boutique. I have to say as a fair skin girl this dress kind of scared me, but I loved the design and shape of the dress. So I thought – go for it! Some reds just make my pale skin just look more pale. I think this dress though compliments my skin tone. It is perfect right now for wearing some cute brown sandals with. I also look forward to adding a denim jacket and booties for fall!Ā  (This dress is no longer available – CHECK THE WEBSITE FOR POSSIBLE RESTOCK OPTIONS)

4- Dresses are perfect for postpartum mommaā€™s during summer. I had a C-Section, so I did not like things coming around my belly. My mom actually got me this dress from Walmart by the brand Time and Tru. It is so comfy and has pockets! I am not sure if they still currently have this dress, but you might find it on some clearance racks! I even wore this dress during my last trimester of pregnancy!

5- I found this staple piece at Old Navy on sale. I this this is a perfect basic dress to always have in your closet. It looks adorable with a scarf during summer. I found a chic way to dress this dress up on Pinterest. (GO FOLLOW MY PINTEREST BOARDS TO FIND MORE OF MY FASHION FAVS!). I paired this dress with a flannel and some booties and I love the look it gives for fall!

I hope my fashion finds were inspirational to adding something new to your closet or inspiring you to wear something you already have.

If you have any questions leave them below! Or any other ideas of how to wear these 5 pieces I found.

SPRING HAUL – OLD NAVY, MEIJERS, BATH & BODY, AND MORE!!!

Spring Haul

Hey guys!

I did not expect while writing this post to look out my window and see snow! Itā€™s been so nice the week before and now its barely above freezing. Oh well, hopefully seeing these clothes will make you think warm thoughts!

I love clothes, if you havenā€™t noticed. šŸ˜‰ Wearing something that makes you feel pretty just makes your day ten times better. I donā€™t know why God gave me the passion for fashion, but I hope to share with yā€™all some cute finds and give you some encouragement!

If I could only shop at Old Navy, I think I would be perfectly fine with that. šŸ˜‰ This is probably my favorite outfit I found. I love stretchy BUT cute pants. Who wants to wear jeans all the time?

OLD NAVY SPRING OUTFIT

I already own one pair of these pants in black and now Iā€™ve bought this similar pair in pink. Perfect for spring! I believe these pants were around $30, but Iā€™m sure they will go on sale soon. I love how comfy they are.

One thing I love about these pants is you can dress them down casually with a fitted tee and maybe a scarf. Or you can dress them up with a nice top, like I got!

This off shoulder top is comfy and soft; those are my major two requirements. šŸ˜‰ This top was around $20. It fits great and doesnā€™t slip around too much on my shoulders.

My next favorite thing I got was with floral sporty hoodie from Meijer. I have been eyeing this for a month! It is originally $24, but I got it for $12, SCORE! Itā€™s so comfy and I plan to wear it a lot this spring while running around doing errands.

Okay yā€™all, anyone else loving boutiques lately? I have loved the Pink Lilly Boutique and the Dixieland Boutique. Both boutiques have a website and an actual store in my hometown of Bowling Green, KY! I have a shopping cart full of stuff Iā€™d love to buy, but Iā€™m on a budget so going to have to wait and pay for it with cash. Good olā€™ Dave Ramsey philosophy!

With cash, I paid for this cute cold shoulder top from Pink Lilly. I thought the blue would go well with my fair skin tone. #Nevertanforeverpale šŸ˜‰ I plan on styling this top with jeans and a cute scarf.

I love cute T-Shirts. I found this one at Samā€™s in Bowling Green. It is a mint green University of Kentucky T-shirt. I know I say comfy and soft a lot, but seriously this is one of the comfiest T-shirts I own! I actually wore it as a PJ shirt last night!

A few other things I got was:

These Reebox pants, regularly $21, I got them for $15!Ā  They will be great if I stay on a workout schedule, but if not they will make great errand pants.

Watermelon Lemonade candle from Bath & Body Works.Ā  It is a clean floral scent!Ā  They were having a two for $25 deal!

Shadowsense eye shadow color in rose gold.Ā  Thanks mom!

So I want to encourage you as we start getting out our clothes for spring. This has become one of my favorite Bible verses while working on my blog:

ā€œYou are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.ā€

Song of Solomon 4:7

Clothes should just be a reflection of our inner beauty. No matter what you wear, know that you are most beautiful just being yourself! A smile and caring heart are for more beautiful than any outfit could be.
